So let's begin...

Good friends. Good books. Good conversation. That's what this blog is all about! Here's where we 5 friends will share some of our thoughts, ideas, questions, et al, as we read our books. Our first book of choice is "People of the Book" (good title!). Since we are all "people of a great book--the Bible--we will possibly learn about some other people who consider other books as their "great book." Wonder what we will learn--about them and about ourselves?

    I'm intrigued. The book is off to a good start even though I got a little nauseous - felt like the author believed she had to have a gratuitious sexual relationship between the characters so people would stay tuned.

    Finished! Didn't like it as well as "Year of Wonders."

    title (People of the Book) provides kaleidescope of lenses in which to see people in different places and centuries and how their faith, their circumstances and their customs affected their view of "the book." am eager to get together and discuss!
